We are delighted that the Sovereign Auction Supreme Sale has been selected to sell the full sibling to the Team GBR & CCI5* eventer Lordships Graffalo ridden by Ros Canter.
Ros and Lordships Graffalo were 10th at their first run at CCI5* in Badminton this spring and they were then selected to represent Team GBR Eventing at the World Games in Pratoni in Italy where they went on to finish in 4th place.
Lordships Graffalo is a son of Grafenstolz and his dam line breeding is nothing short of pure eventing Royalty in that his dam Cornish Queen is also the dam of the CCI5* mare Pencos Crown Jewel also ridden by Ros.
Cornish Queen is by the late Advanced event stallion Rock King and her sire line also features the wonderful full Thoroughbred stallion Ben Faerie who was a history maker via his progeny. Ben Faerie is also the sire of Ginny Leng’s (nee Holgate) most successful CCI5* and Team GBR horses Priceless and Nightcap. Priceless and Ginny won four Team Gold medals at either Olympic or Championship Events for Team GBR aswell as winning Burghley twice and Badminton once. Night Cap II and Ginny were European Champions in 1987 and also won Burghley in 1984. Georgie Belton Auction Director said “We feel extremely honoured to be selected as the Auction House to sell such an incredibly special implanted embryo. This one in a million embryo has equal appeal to both a CCI5* rider with Team Goals set in their headlights as to a stud who would like to capture what must the last remaining genetics from this truly exceptional dam line”
